Up – An Island Film

An autobiographical film by Andrea Wrobel, filmed and edited during her Artscape Gibraltar Point Writing Residency February-March 2017. It exists as a representation of mind, body, breath; a study of self, the way we use our bodies to tell stories, create adventures, and interact with the space surrounding us.
A glorious week of letting thoughts and actions occur and subsequently meditating on their meanings; a break from writing to explore thoughts and energy. In gratitude for time, space, and energy, and especially this land that we occupy for life and leisure.

Thank you to these traditional lands of many different Huron, Anishinaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples—the Wendat and Petun, the Seneca, the Ojibwe, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the New Credit. To Artscape Gibraltar Point for the residency & to Tiny Ritual for creating such beautiful beeswax intention candles.
