We make zines + host workshops specializing in mental wellness, the outdoors, and collaborative explorations into the inner self, spawned from a desire to create space for work that discusses the parts of life we don’t often talk about.

Inside Me is a collaborative zine project exploring mental health through literary practice. It is about the inner-workings and effect of living and/or experiencing mental health in its truest form, as defined by the artists.

Volume 1 + 2 feature work by Anjie Beltran, D. Brennan, Whitney French, Dawn Greco, Hanan Hazime, Andrea Michel, Shae Stamp, Gillian Wetherald + Andrea Wrobel.

Always printed in black and white.

"room" // meet-ups

ROOM is a bi-monthly peer review workshop for female-identified* and/or intersectional feminist** writers*** who are looking for a safe space to share, give, and receive feedback on written work.

Meetups take place in the MIND BOMB ROOM, a small meeting room at CSI Annex, 720 Bathurst St. in Toronto. Nearest intersection: Bathurst & Bloor. The room is past reception and cafe, on the right.

ALL written work applies. That means: short story, long form, screenplay, poetry, prose, creative non-fiction, journal, blogging, lyrics, speeches - any genre.

NOTE: You do not have to submit a piece of writing to attend, and can still participate in the reading and workshopping of work.

*this is an inclusive definition of "female," and we welcome trans- and non-binary people, cisgendered and genderqueer womxn, and anyone who identifies as female in a way that's significant to them.

**we recognize the interconnectedness of race, gender, sexuality, religion, class, ability, etc. and the ways in which their marginalization affects our experiences in non-linear ways.

***this is an inclusive definition of "writer," and we welcome aspiring, published, dabbling, non- and part-time writers, those who already identify as such (or those who are, simply, people who use words to express themself).
